Skiers and Snowboarders had a delightful day in Taos Ski Valley on Thanksgiving Day. If you have never enjoyed the joy of skiing in Taos, please come and Ski Aqui! (Also if you would like a small Ski Aqui pin, just send us your mailing address.) All of you loyal Taos Ski Valley fans, come on up and enjoy the changes that have been made.
Opening day was stellar in Taos Ski Valley . The sky was blue, the snow sparkly, the temperature was warm enough to keep the snow crisp but not sloppy.
Tao Ski Valley Personnel had been working double shifts just to get the new and old buildings in shape for opening day. The new staff members seemed to fit right in to the operations including lift operators and restaurant staff. I was amazed at how seamlessly things went.
I had been up to the Ski Valley about a week ago to go hiking and to check out the progress of construction. I didn’t think there was anyway things would be ready for opening day. Kudos to all of you hard working Ski Valley employees.
Considering how many changes have been made in such a short time at TSV, I thought everything ran smoothly. The enhanced snow making equipment has produced a good amount of snow. Man-made snow coupled with nature’s contribution has created a very credible base of 36″.
It was fun just to turn both ways and to be back on the slopes. Lots more fun is o come as more skiing and boarding terrain is opened up for the season.
